asr recieves Industry Mover Sustainability Yearbook Award 2019
a.s.r. receives the so-called ‘Industry Mover Sustainability Award’ for 2019. The award indicates that a.s.r. is the fastest rising company in the corporate sustainability index within the financial sector, and underlines the advancement made by a.s.r. within the field of sustainability.
'Due to the improved score, a.s.r. ended up in the top 15% of the Insurance Industry of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index worldwide', explains Natalie van der Pol, integrated reporting officer at a.s.r.
a.s.r. receives the Industry Mover Sustainability Award for its sustainability performance in 2018. a.s.r. receives the award for 'excellent sustainability performance'.
Natalie van der Pol: “Of course we are happy with this result. This is the confirmation that a.s.r. has made significant improvements within the field of sustainability in 2018. Perhaps even more important, is that we are now included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. This index includes the 10% best performing companies in the field of sustainability on economic, social and environmental / environmental criteria."
In order to be eligible for this index, companies provide answers to approximately 140 questions from RobecoSam, in which topics such as CO2 emissions, absentism and financial self-reliance are scored.

On this day, employees will step away from their usual tasks and wholeheartedly engage in volunteer work across 6 of a.s.r.’s 7 business cities. a.s.r.’s social organisation, Doenkracht, collaborates with various organisations in and around these cities that can benefit from external help. This initiative marks the first time a.s.r. is organising such an event, drawing inspiration from Aegon Nederland, which previously introduced Vrijwilligerswerk Vrijdag (“Volunteering on Friday”). The commitment to community activities aligns with a.s.r.’s mission to empower individuals in the Netherlands to make informed financial decisions, fostering greater financial awareness, savvy, and resilience.

15 Apr 2024The a.s.r. Vitality health programme is available to all pension, healthcare and income protection customers of a.s.r. and Loyalisa.s.r. Vitality will be available from 1 January 2025 to all customers with healthcare, income protection or pension insurance of a.s.r. or Loyalis, without paying a separate contribution for this. In this way, a.s.r. hopes to lower the threshold to participate in the programme.
