a.s.r. has made workspace available in the a.s.r. building in Utrecht for the organisation of the Vuelta a España (Tour of Spain) in 2020 in the Netherlands. On 1 September, the project organisation started with the preparations of the cycling spectacle that will start on 14 August. By this, a.s.r. responds to the request of the municipality of Utrecht to make a contribution.
La Vuelta will start in 2020 with a team time-trial in Utrecht on Friday 14 August. The second and third stage will be on 15 and 16 August, during which the pack will cycle through the provinces of Utrecht and Noord-Brabant. In the second stage the cyclists will also ride past a.s.r.’s premises.
Utrecht, Breda and ‘s-Hertogenbosch and the provinces of Utrecht and Noord-Brabant are responsible for the organisation of these first stages of La Vuelta. Representatives of these public organisations will work together in the a.s.r. building to make La Vuelta Holanda a successful event.
‘We are pleased to help the project organisation make the start of this major bicycle race a success and we are happy to be able to make our contribution in this way’, explains Boudewijn van Uden. ‘A practical example of helping by doing. We hope that it will be as magnificent and festive an event for everyone as the start of the Tour de France in 2015’.
