a.s.r. completes sale of part of its banking activities to Achmea

a.s.r. bank, part of ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.), today completed the sale of part of its banking activities to Achmea. All conditions set for the takeover have been met, such as the certificate of no objection from the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). The works councils of a.s.r. and Achmea had already given a positive advice.

In March this year, a.s.r. and Achmea agreed that Achmea Bank would take over part of the banking activities of a.s.r. bank. These activities consist of a savings portfolio with approximately 125,000 customers with a volume of 1.7 billion euro and a mortgage portfolio with a volume of 1.5 billion euro.

Customers have now been informed about the migration of their product. Central Beheer will take care of these customers from 2 December. The agreement and conditions will remain unchanged for customers with a savings account. The takeover will not have any consequences for the service provided to customers with an a.s.r. mortgage; a.s.r. will remain their point of contact and the agreement and conditions will remain the same.
