CFO Annemiek van Melick is leaving a.s.r.
Annemiek van Melick, CFO of a.s.r., is leaving the company to pursue her career at NN Group as CFO. She is resigning her position with immediate effect. a.s.r. intends to announce more details about her succession in the near future.
Jos Baeten, CEO of a.s.r.: ‘We would have liked her to complete her term as a member of the Executive Board. Nevertheless, I respect her choice. I am grateful for the valuable contribution she has made over the past period and I wish her every success in her future career'.
Joop Wijn, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of a.s.r.: The Supervisory Board thanks Annemiek for her role in further expanding a.s.r.'s financially strong and sustainable position. We wish Annemiek all the best for the future. a.s.r. is well positioned to implement its strategy aimed at long-term value creation with the interests of all stakeholders in mind. Against this background, we intend to propose a suitable successor in the near future.’
Annemiek van Melick: ‘I’m leaving today with mixed feelings, as it has been a privilege to work for a.s.r., a professional company with strong cultural roots. a.s.r. is a solid, sustainable insurer, well rooted within society and I would like to thank all colleagues for the pleasant cooperation.’
Annemiek van Melick will not receive any severance pay.
As previously announced, a.s.r. is organising an Investor Update on 7 December 2021. During this event the strategic plans and medium-term objectives will be presented.

24 Mar 2023Ditzo and Europeesche Verzekeringen to continue under the name of a.s.r.a.s.r. will discontinue the Ditzo and Europeesche Verzekeringen brands. From 17 April 2023 the insurance policies of both brands will be offered under the name of a.s.r. With this move, a.s.r. aims to reduce the number of brands and further strengthen the a.s.r. brand.

The integrated annual report covers both a.s.r.’s sustainability performance and its financial performance in 2022. This year, a.s.r. will once again publish a separate climate report with the aim of describing the principles and activities regarding climate for stakeholders. In the climate report, a.s.r. discusses the climate risks for its own activities, customers and society in general.

22 Mar 2023a.s.r. further invests in sustainable insurance with 2 new partnershipsASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) takes a majority interest in Soople, a damage repair company owned by Plegt-Vos, and a minority interest in Fixxer, a new company set up in collaboration with Belfius Insurance. Fixxer will be responsible for the management and further development of the digital service platform for non-life customers. Both companies have specialist knowledge and experience that will enable a.s.r. to take the next step in its strategy as a sustainable non-life insurer: a.s.r. wants to focus even more strongly on sustainable damage repair and, in due course, offer this to its customers as efficiently as possible.
