a.s.r. will continue being a social partner of FC Utrecht in the 2018/2019 season. As in the previous two seasons, the professional football club from Utrecht and the insurer will join efforts to increase the financial self-sufficiency of the inhabitants of Utrecht.
a.s.r. and FC Utrecht jointly organise activities in the field of financial education and financial information. For example, there is a jointly developed teaching module on financial resilience for children in primary education. There are also financial workshops in the province of Utrecht and FC Utrecht participates in the a.s.r. reading-out programme to develop children’s language skills.
As part of the collaboration, a.s.r. will also be represented in the new thematic skybox of FC Utrecht, the Provincie Lounge, in the 2018/2019 season. During every home match of FC Utrecht, the social partners will deal with a social issue taken to heart by FC Utrecht, the city and the region.
'The partnership with a.s.r. is very dear to us. We pursue certain common goals and have found out how we can help each other in doing so', says Martijn Standaart, Commercial Director of FC Utrecht. 'We reinforce one another and it’s wonderful that we will continue to do so in the 2018/2019 season.'
Boudewijn van Uden, Director of Corporate Communication at a.s.r.: 'As part of our social commitment, a.s.r. wants to make an active contribution to improving people's financial self-reliance. Under the slogan ‘Helping by doing’, we encourage employees to actively engage in this on a voluntary basis. We have seen that, together with FC Utrecht, we can actually contribute something in the Utrecht region in this field. After all, both of us are at the heart of society and both of us want to use our people and resources to help where necessary. That’s why we are very pleased to continue the collaboration with FC Utrecht.'
