Clarity on future office locations Aegon Netherlands
a.s.r. has provided employees of both Aegon and a.s.r. more clarity about the future of Aegon Netherlands' office locations, which will become part of a.s.r.'s portfolio following the closing. The Hague location will remain open at least until the end of 2024, Leeuwarden until at least the end of 2025. Amsterdam (Knab) and Groningen (TKP) will remain open. The current office of a.s.r. at Archimedeslaan in Utrecht will be the head headquarters of the a.s.r. – Aegon Netherlands combination. This had already been announced.
For colleagues working in The Hague, the place of employment may change earlier. This depends on the integration plans of the various business units. It is also possible that colleagues will work together from time to time in Utrecht or another office before an actual integration takes place, to build a joint team and a shared culture.
At a.s.r., colleagues have a lot of flexibility in determining their own working hours and workplace. It has been agreed that everyone works in the office at least 40% of the time on average.

From 25 September 2023, the funeral insurance services will be offered under the a.s.r. name. With this step, a.s.r. aims to reduce the number of brand names and further strengthen the a.s.r. brand. This was already done with the Ditzo and Europeesche Verzekeringen labels earlier this year.
