ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) is taking a 30% minority interest in Appel Pensioenuitvoering B.V. (Appel). Appel is specialised in the administration of pension schemes and is known for its high-quality pension administration and very comprehensive assurance in the field of business processes, risk management and the protection of personal data.
Appel’s systems and processes are cost-efficient and well prepared to withstand all conceivable pension reforms. This has allowed Appel to make large steps in the past four years to considerably increase its turnover. Customers of Appel include pension funds as well as insurers, for which it operates DB and DC pension schemes.
a.s.r. is taking a 30% equity interest in Appel and supports the ambition to play an active role in the changing pension market. With a.s.r. as shareholder, the continuity will be strengthened, allowing Appel to grow, without compromising on the quality and safety of its services.

15 Apr 2024The a.s.r. Vitality health programme is available to all pension, healthcare and income protection customers of a.s.r. and Loyalisa.s.r. Vitality will be available from 1 January 2025 to all customers with healthcare, income protection or pension insurance of a.s.r. or Loyalis, without paying a separate contribution for this. In this way, a.s.r. hopes to lower the threshold to participate in the programme.
