a.s.r. optimises product range and discontinues ZZP Pension
a.s.r. works continuously to optimise its products and services. For this reason, ZZP Pension will be discontinued from the end of 2022. As an alternative, a.s.r. offers the ‘Personal Pension’. This is an annuity investment account that allows customers to build up pension favourably from a tax point of view. ZZP Pension customers have already been informed about this.
The current ZZP Pension has a portfolio of approximately 4,500 customers and a volume of EUR 130 million in assets under management. a.s.r. is discontinuing ZZP Pension as it no longer meets a.s.r.’s sustainability requirements. In addition, due to a change in the accounting system, the service can no longer be provided in its current form.
ZZP Pension customers have received a letter and an email stating that the product will cease to exist on 31 December 2022. It also tells them what options they have for their accrued annuity capital. One of the possibilities is to switch to the new ‘Personal Pension’ that will be available from 1 October this year, but customers can also choose to commute their accrued capital or to purchase an annuity from a.s.r. New customers will also be able to take advantage of the ‘Personal Pension’ from 1 January 2023.

12 Sep 2024S&P revises a.s.r.’s outlook to positive on expected capital and earning improvement – A ratings affirmedCredit rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) is positive about the long-term outlook in its annual assessment of a.s.r.’s creditworthiness and its components. The current ratings have been reaffirmed, and the outlook has been changed from stable to positive. This means that if a.s.r. continues to perform at the current level, there is a possibility that the ratings of a.s.r. will be upgraded by one notch at a next assessment.

21 Aug 2024a.s.r. commits to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)a.s.r. has joined the international Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In doing so, a.s.r. commits to setting science-based emission reduction targets in line with the Paris Climate Agreement. This step fits the ambition of a.s.r. to belong to the leading group of European sustainable insurers. After signing, a.s.r. has 2 years to submit the climate goals to SBTi.
