As a social partner, a.s.r. and FC Utrecht developed a number of activities for financial education in the past few years. Boudewijn van Uden, director of Corporate Communication: ‘We are pleased that with the extension of our partnership, we can continue the further development of the FC Utrecht Leert financial teaching module and activities such as the Reading Aloud Breakfast and the Financial Hunt in the Galgenwaard Stadium. This in order to provide even more children with a sound basis for their future financial self-sufficiency.’
Joost Broerse, FC Utrecht’s Commercial director, considers the extension for the next two seasons with a.s.r. as a logical next step to the social programme: ‘a.s.r. and FC Utrecht are both at the heart of society and reinforce each other. a.s.r.’s mentality fits ours. That they have signed for two more seasons, shows their confidence. We look forward to realising social goals together.’
As part of the partnership, this season we will again be represented in the Province Lounge of the Galgenwaard Stadium. During every home match of FC Utrecht, the social partners will deal with a social issue that affects the city or region.
