Aegon Cappital gets preference for Rhine and inland waterway pensions
Employers and employees in the Rhine and inland waterway sector have designated Aegon Cappital as the preferred party to provide pensions in the sector. From 2025, compulsory membership will no longer apply. The Stichting Bedrijfspensioenfonds voor de Rijn- en Binnenvaart has decided not to offer a new scheme.
The social partners, Koninklijke Binnenvaart Nederland for the employers and Nautilus for the employees, have developed a preferential pension scheme for the Rhine and inland waterways that they consider appropriate for the sector. They inform their members that they can turn to a.s.r. subsidiary Aegon Cappital for this. This also includes collectivity benefits.

29 Nov 2023a.s.r. closes unit-linked life insurance filea.s.r. has reached a final settlement for unit-linked life insurance customers of Aegon and a.s.r. affiliated to the interest groups Consumentenclaim, Woekerpolis.nl, Woekerpolisproces, Wakkerpolis and Consumentenbond. All collective proceedings of the interest groups against Aegon and a.s.r. will be terminated. The settlement involves approximately 250 million euros.

This master agreement is for five years and stems from the CBA agreement to limit income loss in case of long-term incapacity for work of employees.
