As of 1 December 2025, a.s.r. has appointed Diederik Schouten as deputy director and head of operations Pensions. In this new role, he will be responsible for the entire operational domain within the a.s.r. pensions business unit . Diederik Schouten will report to director of Pensions Folkert Pama, and will be part of the management team.
Diederik Schouten (51) brings extensive experience in the pensions and insurance sector. He previously held roles including managing partner at LEAF Advies BV, director of Pension New Business at Nationale-Nederlanden and Delta Lloyd, and chair of the statutory board of BeFrank PPI. He has a strong track record in large-scale transformation programmes, integrations and leading multidisciplinary teams.
To better and more efficiently support participants, employers and advisers, a.s.r. is consolidating all administration, customer service and IT for insured pension schemes – both DB and DC – within a.s.r. pensions. This also includes portfolios previously managed by TKP. By combining expertise and colleagues from various departments, the organisation is able to respond more swiftly to market developments and further enhance its service offering.
The appointment of Diederik Schouten aligns with this new structure. With his experience and connecting abilities, he is well positioned to guide the integration process and enable smooth collaboration across departments. This will help strengthen customer service and ensure a.s.r. pensions is well equipped to respond decisively to future developments.
