Aegon mortgages step by step transferred to Stater platform

During the Whitsun weekend, two-thirds of existing Aegon mortgages were successfully transferred to Stater's mortgage platform. Since January 2025, new mortgage applications from Aegon customers have already been processed via Stater, and now existing mortgages are following suit. This marks an important step in the integration of Aegon Netherlands and a.s.r., where Stater has long been the regular platform for mortgage processing.

For changes to existing mortgages, advisers now uset he Stater portal E-adviseur. Requests for increases are also processed through the familiar advisory package and forwarded to Stater's platform via HDN. Aegon's underwriting team remains responsible for assessing applications and can be reached directly for questions.

Later this year, the remaining Aegon mortgages will also be transferred to Stater. Until mid-2026, these mortgages will still retain the Aegon label. After that, the ultimate goal is full integration into a.s.r. mortgages.

'With this transition, we are creating a future-proof mortgage process that is simpler, faster and more customer-friendly,' said Matthijs Hofstede, director of mortgages at a.s.r. 'Although this complex migration also presents challenges, I am satisfied with how the migration went and expect that we will soon be back to our normal processing times.'

Mario Menheere, managing director Stater Nederland: 'By adding the existing Aegon mortgages to our platform, we are taking the next important step in servicing the entire a.s.r. mortgage portfolio. We are proud that our build-up expertise in large, complex migrations has once again ensured a successful result.'
