a.s.r. completes acquisition Veherex
ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) has completed the acquisition of Veherex. All conditions set to the acquisition have been met, such as the certificate of no objection from the Dutch Central Bank. a.s.r.’s works council has already issued a positive advice on the acquisition.
In August last year, a.s.r. and Veherex agreed that a.s.r. would take over insurer Veherex. It involves a portfolio comprising 35,000 policyholders. With this acquisition, a.s.r. expands and strengthens its market position in the area of occupational disability insurance whilst reinforcing its leading position in the provision of integrated sustainable employability solutions for employers.
In 2018, Veherex recorded € 15 million in premium income and a net result of € 1.4 million. Veherex’s solvency ratio amounted to 150% at the end of 2018.

15 Apr 2024The a.s.r. Vitality health programme is available to all pension, healthcare and income protection customers of a.s.r. and Loyalisa.s.r. Vitality will be available from 1 January 2025 to all customers with healthcare, income protection or pension insurance of a.s.r. or Loyalis, without paying a separate contribution for this. In this way, a.s.r. hopes to lower the threshold to participate in the programme.
