The index provides insight into the positive impact of businesses in the Netherlands, by assessing the 100 largest companies in the Netherlands on 5 pillars: good governance, the relationship with the outside world, sustainability, financial health and good employment practices. The index has been compiled by Management Scope, in collaboration with the Impact Center Erasmus of Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Initiator Management Scope praises a.s.r. for the drive in measuring the CO2 emissions of their own company and the companies in which a.s.r. invests. The remuneration policy that has been adjusted in 2019 is also appreciated.

Annechien ten Brink, sustainability manager at a.s.r.: 'This is a great appreciation for the work that we, as a company, have done in recent years. This ranking and appreciation encourages us to continue on this path, so that we can further increase our positive social impact.'
