The Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) and the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) have granted approval for the acquisition of the remaining shares in Human Touch Holding B.V. As a result, a.s.r. now holds 100% of the shares in HumanTotalCare, thereby strengthening its position in the field of occupational health services and reintegration. This step aligns with a.s.r.’s strategy to pursue targeted acquisitions alongside organic growth. Financial details of the transaction will not be disclosed.
HumanTotalCare, operating under the brands ArboNed, HumanCapitalCare, Mensely, Focus Nederland, and IT&Care, is a leading authority in the Netherlands in the areas of absenteeism and sustainable employability. These brands offer nationwide services focused on vitality, health and employability, including prevention management, absenteeism support and reintegration consultancy on healthy and safe working environments and career guidance. HumanTotalCare employs approximately 2,000 people and serves nearly 65,000 employers, representing around 1.4 million employees.
Since 2019, a.s.r. has held a 45% stake in HumanTouch Holding. Following the necessary approvals and completion of the share transfer, a.s.r. will become the sole shareholder as of 1 October 2025. Within a.s.r., HumanTotalCare will continue to operate as an independent entity. The continuity of services for all HumanTotalCare clients, including a.s.r. itself, is therefore assured. This transaction also has no impact on employees; the company will remain an independent employer.
