a.s.r. will start looking for a strategic buyer of a.s.r vastgoed ontwikkeling, its real estate development business. Mindful of its future as a private company a.s.r. wants to concentrate on its core business: insurance and asset management.
Real estate development is not one of a.s.r.’s core activities. Given that the business line does not tie in with a.s.r.’s portfolio and is ready for sale, this is the time to start looking for a suitable strategic partner to sell the real estate development business to. The sale will not impact pending developments. Existing business relations, potential tenants and property buyers will not be adversely affected by the planned sale.
Over the past decades, a.s.r. vastgoed ontwikkeling has proved to be a professional and independent real estate developer with an impressive track record in countless multidisciplinary projects and developments. These include IJDock Amsterdam (mixed-use development), Winkelcentrum Waddinxveen (shopping centre), residential properties in Houthavens Amsterdam. Various developments are currently under way, including the Norfolk site in Scheveningen, the post office at Neude in Utrecht, Catherinasteeg/Aalmarkt in Leiden, Kruisvaartkade in Utrecht, residential properties in Ede Enka and residential properties in Noordwijk.
