a.s.r. launches WoonVooruit to help consumers make their homes more sustainable

Together with HDN, Enven, Altum AI and Duurzaam XL, a.s.r. Mortgages is launching WoonVooruit, an online tool that helps homeowners make their homes more sustainable. Using a zip code, house number and publicly available data, the tool provides an initial, accurate estimate of a home's sustainability and energy label. Consumers can supplement or correct this information and indicate what matters to them, such as a short payback period or greater comfort at home. The tool then recommends suitable measures that homeowners can take and provides an indication of the costs.

Consumers also receive information about national and local subsidies and financing options. This online tool is available to everyone completely free of charge. Consumers who would like more detailed, personalised advice during a home visit can turn to partner Enven for a fee. This advice includes a comprehensive home assessment and a tailored quotation. Enven can also arrange an official energy label. Consumers can turn to Duurzaam XL to purchase and install the recommended measures.

Robbert Olthuis, Strategy & Sustainability Manager at a.s.r. Mortgages: ‘At a.s.r., we want to help make homes in the Netherlands more sustainable. For consumers, making a home more sustainable can initially seem very complicated and complex. Where do you start, what does it cost and how do you arrange it? By working with four partners – each an expert in their field – we provide consumers with professional guidance throughout the entire process. WoonVooruit is available not only to customers with an a.s.r. mortgage, but to all current and prospective homeowners who want to make their homes more sustainable.’
