Today, the legal merger between ASR Levensverzekering N.V. (a.s.r. Life) and AEGON Levensverzekering N.V. (Aegon Life) has been completed. The Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank) has granted permission for the legal merger.

Today, ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) and BOVAG announce they have completed the acquisition by a.s.r. of Bovemij’s insurance activities. All required approvals from regulators have been obtained, and the relevant works councils have issued a positive advice. All conditions have therefore been met.

a.s.r. today publishes the findings of historical research it commissioned into the colonial and slavery past of its legal predecessors. The research shows that legal predecessors of a.s.r. were involved in, and helped enable, the colonial and slavery system. They insured slave ships, colonial commodity flows and commercial interests directly connected to slavery and forced labour. Ingrid de Swart, CEO of a.s.r., today offers apologies for this on behalf of a.s.r.

a.s.r. introduces a methodology to provide insight into the plastic footprint of investment portfolios. The method is a co-creation of a.s.r., Earth Action and Plastic Soup Foundation, with a.s.r., to the best of its knowledge, being the first company in the financial sector to apply this methodology.

To mark the 10th anniversary of its listing, CEO Ingrid de Swart today rang the gong at the opening of trading on Euronext Amsterdam. Exactly ten years ago, a.s.r. returned to the stock exchange.

Ingrid de Swart has been appointed CEO of ASR Nederland N.V. She succeeds Jos Baeten, who had previously indicated that he would not be available for a new term. Ingrid has been COO/CTO of a.s.r. since 2019 and has been appointed for a term of four years.

The shareholders of ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) today approved all proposed resolutions at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM), including the adoption of the annual accounts and the distribution of a dividend of € 3.41 per share for the 2025 financial year.

On 18 February 2026, ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) announced the launch of a share buyback programme of € 175 million. This programme, in line with the announcement made during the Capital Markets Day 2024, was successfully completed on 19 May 2026.

Jennifer Op ’t Hoog has been appointed as the new director Mortgages and Annemarel de Vos as the new director Health and a.s.r. online. Annemarel will start in her new role on 1 July, while Jennifer will take up her position on 17 August 2026. These positions became vacant following recent changes in a.s.r.’s management. Both appointments are subject to regulatory approval.

The international Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has confirmed that the short-term climate targets of ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) are in line with climate science and the objectives of the Paris Climate Agreement. With these Science Based Targets, a.s.r. is working in a targeted way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within its own organisation and across parts of its financial activities towards 2030. The targets form an integral part of a.s.r.’s sustainability strategy.

a.s.r. has been included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index (DJBIC World) and in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Europe Index (DJBIC Europe), the indices that monitor companies worldwide and across Europe on sustainability performance. Since February 2025, the DJBIC is the new name of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, in which a.s.r. has already been included previously.

a.s.r. has entered into an agreement with Centraal Beheer APF for a buy-out of the pension liabilities of Kring Bavaria, a collectivity ring within a general pension fund (APF). They were transferred to Aegon Levensverzekering N.V. as of 1 May 2026.

As of April 21, 2026, a.s.r.’s real estate and infrastructure activities will continue under the name a.s.r. real assets. This umbrella name brings together the various activities in the fields of real estate, infrastructure and development, and reflects the broadening and diversity of the platform. The use of the new name has no consequences for stakeholders.

ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) today publishes the convocation and accompanying documents for the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM), scheduled for Wednesday, 20 May 2026 at 10.00 AM. The AGM will be held at the offices of a.s.r. in Utrecht.

Going forward, a.s.r. will consider not only climate, but also nature and biodiversity in its insurance and investment activities. These factors will play a role in decision-making on underwriting and investment. This is set out in the Climate and Nature Transition Plan published by a.s.r.

a.s.r. appoints Robert van der Schaaf, the current director P&C at a.s.r., as COO Non-life and member of the Management Board (MB) of a.s.r. As COO Non-life, Robert van der Schaaf will be responsible for Disability, P&C and Health. He will be appointed following the intended appointment of Ingrid de Swart as CEO of a.s.r., after the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 20 May.
